Privacy policy.

Last updated:

This is a starting draft written for a data-licensing business. Have a lawyer review it against the laws that apply to you (for example India's DPDP Act, the GDPR for EU sellers, and CCPA/CPRA for California sellers) before launch.

1. Who we are

Lineagery ("Lineagery", "we") operates lineagery.com. Questions about this policy go to sales@lineagery.com.

2. What we collect

  • Intake and account information you submit: your name, work email, phone number, company name, website, headcount, year founded, industry, ownership type, revenue band, and the systems you use with approximate record counts.
  • Correspondence with us by email or phone.
  • Technical data collected automatically by our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps, used for security and to keep the site working.

We do not ask you to upload files, exports or raw records through this website.

3. How we use it

  • To assess whether your company's operational record is something we can license, and to prepare an offer.
  • To contact you about that review and any resulting license.
  • To run, secure and improve the website.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell the personal information you submit through this site, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host the site, store form submissions, or send email on our behalf, under contract and only to provide those services.
  • Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) where needed to paper a license.
  • Authorities where the law requires it.

Information about your company is never shared with an AI lab in identifiable form, and the de-identification process described on our data handling page applies to any record we license.

5. How long we keep it

Intake submissions are kept for as long as we are evaluating or working with your company, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email sales@lineagery.com.

7. Cookies

This site uses only the cookies strictly necessary to operate (for example, to keep you signed in to your portal). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
