Data handling
What we take, what we strip, and what stays yours.
Every commitment below names where you can verify it. If a step isn't checkable, we don't claim it.
Check your dataWhat we do
- Nothing moves before a signed offer. Intake asks for record counts and years in use — never files or exports. Your systems are untouched until you have accepted an offer in writing.Where to check: the counts-only step of the intake form.
- An independent partner anonymizes first. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, account and card numbers are removed or replaced by a specialist de-identification partner before anyone at Lineagery or any lab reads the record. Roles, timestamps and the substance of the work are kept.Where to check: the de-identification schedule attached to every license.
- We read a sample before pricing. A reviewer reads the anonymized sample before we put a number on the record, and the review is scoped to exactly what would be licensed.Where to check: the offer you receive, which names the systems reviewed.
- The license is bounded. Named systems, a defined term, a defined permitted use. Nothing outside that scope is covered.Where to check: standard licensing terms.
- You keep the business and the data. A license is not a sale. You carry on with the same data, systems and customers.Where to check: standard licensing terms.
- Labs never learn who you are. Records are delivered under a code, without company name, website, people or locations.Where to check: the delivery manifest, which carries the code instead of your name.
- Two named people can see an unmasked identity. Only two people at Lineagery ever see a company's identity alongside its data. Everyone else, including every lab, works with de-identified material.Where to check: the named-reviewer clause in your license.
- A human is one email away. Questions go to a person, not a queue.Where to check: sales@lineagery.com.
What we do not do
- No marketplace listing. Your company is never published anywhere. No lab browses a list of names.
- No resale outside the license. A lab's use is fixed by the license. Resale or use beyond scope is prohibited.
- No contact with your staff or customers. Lineagery is your only counterparty, ever.
- No fee to you. There is no fee or commission on a license.
Questions
Does anyone at Lineagery see our data before it is anonymized?
No. The de-identification partner strips identifying fields before any sample reaches us. What we review is the anonymized sample, not the raw record.
What if the anonymized sample still contains something identifying?
The record goes back to the partner for another pass before pricing continues. We would rather lose a week than license an identifiable record.
Can we see who anonymizes the record or which labs receive it?
The de-identification partner is named in your license schedule. Lab identities are not disclosed, in the same way we never disclose one client's terms to another.
