Licensing terms

How a Lineagery license works.

Lineagery is a data lab. We license the operating record directly from the company that produced it, pay for it ourselves, and supply AI labs. You sell to us, never through us.

An asset most companies have never priced.

Any business that has operated for a few years has produced something besides its product: a continuous record of how decisions got made. It lives in chat threads, ticket histories, email chains, shared drives and CRM notes, and it grew without anyone deciding to build it.

AI labs need that material, and the market for it is only a couple of years old. Most owners have never put a number on it because, until recently, there was no buyer to put one against.

What we are paying for.

Not volume. Reasoning. A support thread where a problem is misdiagnosed twice before it is fixed teaches more than a thousand tidy resolutions. Two people arguing about a quote and landing on a number carries judgment that cannot be synthesized. The messy parts of your record are the valuable parts.

That is why an ordinary operating company holds something no data vendor can manufacture: years of an organization thinking out loud.

The terms.

Identical in every license. The only variables are the record and the price.

Counterparty
Lineagery. We are the buyer. No listing, no auction, no agent.
Deal size
Typically $100K – $2M+, paid by us to the company.
Structure
A license to defined operational data. Non-dilutive: no equity, no debt.
Cost to you
None. No fee, no commission.
Who qualifies
Any company with real operating history, in any sector, in any country.
Offer
In writing within 1–2 weeks of intake; papered immediately after acceptance.
Review
A reviewer reads an anonymized sample before pricing. We do not pay for what we have not seen.
Payment
Net 30–60 once the record is approved, delivered and anonymized.
Anonymization
Handled before anything moves, by an independent de-identification partner.
Scope
Named systems, defined term, defined permitted use. Exclusive for that scope by default.
Exclusions
Anything you hold on behalf of your own clients. Anything you do not have the rights to license.
Ownership
You keep the business and the underlying data, and continue using both exactly as before.

Not a marketplace. Not an agent.

We will not list your company anywhere. A listing puts you in a queue behind everyone else and rewards whoever uploaded the most.

We also do not represent you for a percentage. An agent is paid out of your proceeds and carries none of the risk. We take the other side of the trade, so the number in the offer is the number you receive.

Questions owners ask before the first call.

Does a license dilute the company?
No. There is no equity, no convertible instrument and no debt. Your cap table is untouched.
What kind of company qualifies?
Any business with real operating history — software, logistics, manufacturing, services, healthcare administration, financial services, retail, construction, hospitality. Length and texture of the record matter more than headcount or revenue.
Does customer information leave the company?
Identifying fields are stripped by an independent partner as part of preparing the data, before anything moves. Handling that is our responsibility, not yours.
What happens to the data afterwards?
It is anonymized, built into datasets, and supplied to AI labs within the license. We do not disclose which labs take which records.
